Chocolate Hills
The Chocolate Hills are limestone formations in the Bohol province of the Philippines. There are at least 1,260 hills in the area. They are covered in green grass that turns brown during the dry season, hence the name. The Chocolate Hills are a famous tourist attraction of Bohol.

Halang-Halang
Bohol also has several delicious and savory meat dishes. A meal you wouldn’t shy away from is halang-halang, or chicken simmered in rich and creamy coconut milk. Hot chilies are a vital ingredient in this beloved Boholano fare. The dish gets its name from the Visayan word for “spicy.”
Calamay and Peanut Kisses
Calamay or “kalamay” is made from well-milled glutinous rice mixed with coconut milk and sugar. It is the signature delicacy and pasalubong from Bohol. One of the island’s most iconic images, brown spoke-shaved coconut shell with a red band. On the other hand, Peanut Kisses are made of high-quality peanuts and egg whites. Aside from the fact that it signifies Bohol with its chocolate hills-like formation, it is a light, crisp and really delicious treat.
Local made baskets
Bohol is the Basket Capital of the Philippines. Basket weaving is among the earliest industries in Bohol. Weaving is mostly done in the town of Antequera where most of the weavers develop their skills. Their products are mostly made of bamboo, rattan, wicker, nito, buri, sig-id, and other vines.
